Military Student and Family Resources

Falcon Middle School is a Purple Star School.

Purple Star Schools logo

District 49 schools are dedicated to helping military parents, whether they are active duty or in the National Guard and Reserves, feel confident that their student is gaining the educational skills necessary to be college, workforce, and life ready. We also support the social and emotional well-being of military students as they adjust to new schools and cope with a parent's deployment.

The Purple Star Award Program helps military-connected families identify schools who are well equipped to support students and ease their transitions into new schools during all phases of a military career. The Purple Star Award Program is a visible way for us to demonstrate our commitment to nurture the social and emotional well being of military connected students while ensuring their academic success.
